We have 5 neighborhood parks — Smith Hazel Recreation Center, Hammond-Williams Park, Perry Memorial Park, Gyles Park, and the Sumter Street Courts. All are subject to upgrades, downgrades, renovations, and changes in City policy and funding that might affect them their operations and, in some cases, even their existence. It’s important that we have advocates at the ready to be the voices for the parks.
